SystemsBlog

Hi, I'm Nathan.

I'm a software engineer working on distributed systems for AI products at Google Labs. Before that, I built fleet management and topology-aware scheduling infrastructure for hyperscale GPU/TPU clusters at Google Cloud.

I studied Computer Science at Brown, where I was Head TA for systems courses. I loved diving deep into topics and teaching them—it's how I solidify understanding and explore together with others. This blog continues that spirit.

I write broadly about systems, AI infrastructure, and software engineering— breaking down complex concepts into pragmatic, intuitive explanations for smart generalist engineers.
